You can’t even get a two-minute bathroom break without your cat sitting outside the door meowing like you’ve been gone for hours. Suddenly, the feline who spent all afternoon ignoring you desperately needs to be by your side. Open the door and they’ll stroll in like this was obviously the plan all along. Cat pawrents quickly learn that alone time is no longer a thing. If you’re going to the bathroom, your furry shadow is coming too.

Every cat pawrent needs one of these in their bathroom so guests know exactly what they’re getting into. Go ahead and make yourself comfortable because your feline bathroom attendant will be with you shortly. They may arrive without knocking, stare at you the entire time, and demand a few pets before letting you leave, but that’s all part of the service. Guests deserve fair warning that privacy is not guaranteed in a home run by cats.

The only acceptable reason to remodel a bathroom is to install a bigger sink so the cats can lounge more comfortably. Forget the fancy shower, new tiles, or extra storage. We need enough sink space for at least one feline to stretch out without a single paw hanging over the edge. The bathroom belongs to them anyway, so we might as well start designing accordingly. A proper cat-sized sink is really less of a renovation and more of a necessary home improvement.
